If you've ever heard of Homeworld 2, it is a really good game I found like 4 days ago. Released in early 2003. You have to google and youtube it.
4 Lessons learned from CFW:
Protect your allies.
Build different kinds of ships.
And Defend well, but dont waste all your CP on it.
Try to build bases in other systems

I definitely like the first Homeworld better
I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

Ofcourse I've heard about it. Fun game, has a lot of decent mods for it.
Try Complex Mod 7.4.4(I believe). Makes the game that much more fun.

Another game you should try is Nexus: The Jupiter Incident, other then a great SP it's very cheap on Steam.
The demo for it should still be around. You get to defend a station.

Really? The first homeworld doesn't have battlecruisers. But I haven't got to play it, just reviews. I'll check it out. And I'll check those games out.
